Milwaukee Public Schools Conservatory Connections Programs

Conservatory Connections delivers music programs, curriculum and classroom support to many public, private, charter and choice schools in the metro-Milwaukee area and community-based service organizations throughout Greater Milwaukee. Our faculty travel to classrooms with workshops, clinics and full academic year music programming.

Below are some of our programs that are specifically designed for our partnership with the music programs in the Milwaukee Public Schools.

Band/Orchestra/Choral/Jazz Buddies – This program brings our teaching artists into your band, orchestra, or choral program with residencies ranging from 8 – 20 weeks. Through this program we can bring in a specialist to provide extra assistance in areas of specific need. This is a flexible program and residencies can be designed specifically for you. Whether you need help with fundamentals in the clarinet section or extra help for the brass section on a difficult piece, or you need someone to rehearse your chamber ensembles for WSMA Solo and Ensemble we can help you with that. Funding is somewhat limited and the demand is high so this year we are asking teachers to apply for a Buddy and provide us with detailed information about their need. MPS teachers can
access our buddy request form here.

Lincoln Center for the Arts Concert Series - With funding from the Milwaukee Arts Board, Conservatory Connections presents a varied concert series at the Lincoln Center for the Arts, 820 E. Knapp Street. Tickets are free to Milwaukee Public School students and their Chaperones. Please contact Max Day at the Conservatory to reserve a block of seats.
