Early Childhood
In an age appropriate, supportive, and enjoyable environment the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music offers early childhood music classes for ages 4 months – 5 years old.


Children
Whether your child is transitioning from Early Childhood classes or joining the Conservatory for the first time, these small group classes provide a solid foundation in a relaxed and fun learning environment before beginning Individual Instruction.

Guitar
The Conservatory Guitar department provides instruction on a variety of diverse instruments in the guitar family.  Whatever preference in style, shape or size, acoustic or electric, the Conservatory of Music can provide quality instruction.


The Jazz Institute
The Jazz Institute at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music strives to provide the finest in jazz education and performance to the
Milwaukee area’s music community as well as to build awareness of this art form and its ability to transform lives.

Strings/Suzuki
Whether you are bowing on four strings (violin, viola, cello or bass) or plucking on as many as forty seven (concert grand harp) our string department offers instruction in both solo repertoire and chamber music to beginners thru advanced level players of all ages. 

Music Theory
Theory classes enhance music study by providing a comprehensive understanding of musical elements and how they relate to student’s instruments.  Music appreciation classes offer an insight into the culture and history of composer’s live times and how it shaped and affected their compositional style.


Percussion
Whether you are an aspiring orchestral timpanist, a jazz or rock drum set player, drum-line enthusiast, Latin percussionist, or African drummer the percussions department is well equipped and well staffed to meet your needs.


Woodwinds & Brass
Instruments of the Wind and Brass family can be found on stage with the symphony orchestra, marching in a parade on the 4th of July, swinging on the bandstand and making music in schools everyday. The possibilities are endless not the least of which is a lifetime of joyful music making.  When you study a wind instrument you develop team skills, cooperative sensibilities and an appetite for excellence.  Whether you are 9 or 89 you can begin and continue your wind instrument studies at the Conservatory.

Voice
The voice department helps you learn to use your voice to the best of your ability by learning breathing and vocal exercises, and providing education on singing in a chorus, starring on the operatic or Broadway stage or solely for personal enjoyment.


Piano
The piano is the most versatile of all musical instruments and its capacity to add harmony to melody is enjoyed by all.  It is an invaluable first instrument for beginning music study and understanding basic music fundamentals and theory. Whether you learn to play the piano for a few years and move onto another instrument or enjoy it as a lifelong interest the piano is an excellent choice for everyone!


Music Therapy & Wellness
Music is processed throughout much of the brain, making it an ideal medium for healing and developing strategies for learning, coping, and enjoying life.  Music therapists use music, in all its amazing ways, shapes and forms, to achieve therapeutic goals. No particular music ability or training is needed to benefit from music therapy.
