Endowment & Planned Giving
The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music can and will meet the challenges of the future, with your support.  We build upon the vision of community members who founded the Conservatory one hundred and ten years ago to ensure that music is accessible to all.  As the oldest and largest non-profit independent music school in the state, our mission is to provide the finest musical education and performance opportunities for all individuals. One way to provide on going support well into the future is through the Endowment Fund.  The intent of the Endowment Fund is to provide additional revenue to Wisconsin Conservatory programs and students while preserving the principle or corpus of the gift, creating a funding stream in perpetuity.  Please click here for a copy of our Investment Policy link.

Many individuals and families have established a named fund within our Endowment to honor or memorialize loved ones and designated the proceeds towards a particular area of study or instrument.  A special thanks to the following:
  • Joyce Altman Operating Fund
  • Norbert Beihoff Scholarship Fund
  • Johann and Helenya Berthelsen Voice Scholarship Fund
  • Elaine Bliss Piano Scholarship Fund
  • Gales Scholarship Fund
  • Bonnie Dent Grass Piano Scholarship Fund
  • Margaret Hawkins Operating Fund
  • Mary Horwitt Piano Scholarship Fund
  • Dorothea Mayer Scholarship Fund
  • Esther Pollack Memorial Scholarship Fund
  • Frances N. Roosa Voice Scholarship Fund
  • Marlee Sabo Voice Scholarship Fund
  • Shirley Saichek Memorial Scholarship Fun
  • LeRoy and Henrietta Umbs Piano Scholarship Fund
There are many vehicles and instruments used to establish a named fund.  A meeting with your tax advisor or financial advisor will help determine the best method for your situation.

Another way to participate in securing the future is to become a member of our esteemed group the Coda Society.  Coda Society members are people whose passion for music has led then to make a planned gift to the Conservatory.
