Drumming Up ME! $195

New Class! ‘Tween’ girls will have the opportunity to explore and develop their creative side as they create their own unique music. In the process of organic music making students will experience body percussion, play hand drums and other fun and unique instruments. Girls will learn to become better listeners, better team players, develop problem solving skills and increase self confidence as they experience the benefits of working cooperatively with others. Grades 5-9. 12 wks.

Sing to Your Health! $65

(Senior citizen discount does not apply) If you love to sing and appreciate the health benefits of singing--deeper breathing, multisensory and memory stimulation, social interaction-- join our “no pressure, just for fun” hour of song. We will review healthy singing practices then sing a bunch of standards as well as more recent favorites. You do not need to know how to read music, but should be able to sing on pitch. Limited on-site parking is available for the Prospect Avenue class. Adults. 10 wks.

Group Piano for Older Adult Beginners $244

Keep those fingers and joints nimble while you keep your brain active. Enjoy a supportive musical environment with other older adults in our piano lab each week. You’ll learn how to play easy classical and popular pieces, add accompaniment patterns to melodies, transpose, read lead sheets, and play ensemble pieces with other members of the class. Practice time and access to a piano or keyboard are required. Music Book: Adult Piano Adventures Book 1 by Faber and Faber. Please purchase book prior to first class. 15 wks.
