Register today for one or more fun and exciting summer music camps at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music for children between the ages of 5-18. Discounts apply when registering for multiple weeks of camp! MPS Summer Music Institute | June 20 - July 1

Grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 | 9:00am-12:00pm

Drop-off and Pick-up: Milwaukee High School of the Arts 2400 W. Highland Ave.

Refine your skills, get a jump start for next school year, or figure out which instrument is for you at this two-week camp, supported by the MPS Partnership for the Arts and Humanities.

  • Grades 3-5: Explore a variety of instruments and musical styles and participate in your first large ensemble. No musical experience required.
  • Grades 6-8: Rehearse and perform in band, orchestra or choir and round out your experience with your choice of elective classes. At least one year experience on instrument or voice required.
  • Grades 9-12: Participate in advanced small ensembles and serve as mentor musicians to younger students. At least two years experience on instrument or voice required.

Music & Art Explorations Camp w/ Lynden Sculpture Garden | June 20 - 24

Grades K-2 and 3-5 | 9:00am-4:00pm

The beautiful outdoor setting of the Lynden Sculpture Garden is the inspiration for creativity in this one-of-a-kind camp. Spend the morning singing, playing instruments and moving to music at the Conservatory’s Audubon Court location. Then, travel to the Lynden Sculpture Garden (buses provided) to create original works of music and art based on the sculptures around you. *No musical experience required. $329

Jazz Camp | June 20 - 24

Grades 6-8 and 9-12 | 9:00am-4:00pm

McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion, 1584 N Prospect Ave

Come learn from the Conservatory’s Jazz Institute faculty and grammy-award winning Brian Lynch. Participate in master classes, listening, rhythm and improvisation sessions and workshops. Perform jazz classics in both small and large ensembles. This camp is ideal for experienced and amateur players.  You will be amazed how great you sound by the end of the week! $429

Vocal Arts Camp | July 11 - 15

Grades 6-8 and 9-12 | 9:00am-4:00pm

McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion, 1584 N. Prospect Ave.

Come sing your heart out! Singers will participate in choirs, explore musical theater and train in classical music during this exciting week! Each day brings ensemble rehearsals in traditional & contemporary choral music together with voice lessons with our faculty of professional singers and master teachers. Break-out classes in music skills, vocal technique, repertoire, languages and styles will help singers become well-rounded musicians. You will also learn how to improve your stage presence, sing in character and work with a choreographer. The camp will culminate in a final performance on Friday afternoon. *No experience required. $329

Come make music amongst friends!  Trios, quartets, quintets are forming with strings, piano, woodwinds and brass.  Groups will have the opportunity to be coached by our outstanding faculty, participate in masterclasses, learn rehearsal techniques while building skills and friendships for a lifetime.  Students will also participate in a variety of elective courses. The camp will culminate in a final performance on Friday afternoon. $329

Band Camp | July 25 - 29

Grades 4-8 and 9-12 | 9:00am-4:00pm

McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion, 1584 N. Prospect Ave.

The perfect band camp for students beginning on an instrument and any serious middle or high school band musician! You will rehearse challenging and fun music twice a day, take part in instrument specific masterclasses, and chose from electives such as improvisation, world drumming, conducting, piano, and more. The camp will culminate in a final performance on Friday afternoon. Special scholarships are available for MPS students. $329

Hammers & Strings Camp w/ Betty Brinn Children's Museum | August 8 - 12

Grades K-2 and 3-5 | 9am – 4pm

Drop-off: McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion

Pick-up: Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

Perform experiments, be an inventor and discover what makes music “work” in this new camp, designed in collaboration between Conservatory faculty and the creative team of the Be A Maker Space at Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. You’ll learn basic music skills, then delve even further to reveal the science behind the music. It’s the only camp in town where you can play the piano in the morning and take a piano apart in the afternoon! *No musical experience required. $329

Music & Nature Exploration Camp w/ Urban Ecology Center | August 15 - 19

Grades K-2 and 3-5 | 9:00am – 4:00pm

Drop-off and Pick-up: McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion

Join in song with the birds and the bugs in the great outdoors! Mornings are filled with nature-themed musical activities in the McIntosh|Goodrich Mansion. In the afternoon, Urban Ecology Center staff join us on Milwaukee’s lakefront to hunt for the sounds of nature and turn them into music. Don’t miss your chance to explore the beauty of the Wisconsin Conservatory, both inside and out. *No musical experience required. $329
