Joyce Altman Event Honors the Lady, Her Work and the Future of the Conservatory

An evening honoring Joyce Altman was held at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music Tuesday, May 25, 2004. The Prometheus Trio and the Faculty Jazz Sextet performed during the evening with proceeds from the event benefiting the newly established Joyce Altman Endowment Fund.
In honor of Joyce's outstanding achievements while serving as the school's President and CEO from 1993-2003, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music established this fund in Joyce's name. The event dedicated to this newly endowed fund, raised over $81,000 for and almost $35,000 in matching gifts for school operating funds.

Founded in 1899, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is the oldest and largest non-profit independent school of music in Wisconsin, serving students of all ages and abilities with lessons and classes offered for all instruments and styles. This event was supported through sponsorship by Cramer Coil & Transformer Co., Inc., CG Schmidt Construction, Beyer Construction and M&I Bank.
