Jane Austin Concert

 

Sunday, October 4, 2009 – 2:00 pm
The Music and Times of Jane Austen Co-presented by the Jane Austen Society of North America Featuring Prometheus Trio; Piano Faculty members; Raymond Mueller, guitar; and Jenny Gettel, voice Coinciding with our 110th anniversary is this celebration of author Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma). The program will feature both salon and ‘common’ music that would have been performed during the Regency period in England. Following the concert the Jane Austen Society of Wisconsin will host an afternoon “Tea” in the splendid dining room of the historic McIntosh/Goodrich Mansion. Join us for this truly unique event!

Perform-a-thon 2009: “Song & Dance”


For over 110 years, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music has fostered a sense of community amongst our students, faculty, staff, board and audiences. In that spirit, we are pleased to present a new performance opportunity for all students at the Conservatory: Perform-a-thon! In 2009 this free afternoon event will feature themed performances of ‘Song and Dance’ music and will be held on four stages simultaneously.
