Jazz Festival

PrintMarch 16 – 17, 2017

This year the Festival will feature performance and clinic sessions, workshops and interactive sessions on topics such as improvisation, jazz styles, creating a bass line, developing big ears and drum set techniques, as well as opportunities to listen to, talk with, and even jam with professional jazz artists. The schedule is designed to ensure that all participants have a great experience, whether your group is able to come for one day or for the entire Festival.

A large highlight to the Festival will be the chance to hear and hang out with Grammy award winner, trumpeter BRIAN LYNCH. Lynch  will perform with the Conservatory’s renowned jazz sextet, WE SIX, the evenings of Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17 at the McIntosh Goodrich Mansion’s Helen Bader Recital Hall. And all of these great jazz educators will be active in the entire festival.

Day passes are available for $26.50 and includes concert admission. Contact us with any questions by calling Adam Shafer, WCM Jazz Festival Manager at 414-276-5760 or via email at ashafer@wcmusic.org.
