Your gently used instruments will help area kids
#BeInstrumental by donating gently used musical instruments and equipment for Milwaukee’s young musicians! Following the October 5 drive, donated instruments will be cleaned, repaired, provided with new cases, and given to at-need students and schools throughout Southeast Wisconsin.

Donated instruments, like cars, need tune-ups
Nick Miller plucks a donated, vintage saxophone from its musty case, and gets excited when he spots the fancy engraving on the instrument’s bell. “That’s cool man!”
From One Repaired Harp, Many Cultures Can Unite
Music is more than just beauty. It’s the lifeblood of her culture. Mekdes isn’t interested in instruments found in school band. She wants a harp, and vividly remembers the first time she heard it.

This homework is music to MPS students’ ears
On any given day, it is not unusual to find students pulling bows across strings, putting mouthpieces on clarinets or pressing down the keys of saxophones in the orchestra room at Golda Meir School. But taking their instruments home is another story.
Don’t have a musical instrument?
Your gift will repair donated instruments for kids
Each donated instrument needs necessary repairs before it can find new life with a young musician. Repair costs are estimated at $180 per instrument. By making a gift to the WCM Instrument Repair Fund, you have the power to shape a musical journey.

How to Donate
1. Anyone who would like to make a difference in the lives of Milwaukee’s young musicians are encouraged to make a donation to the Instrument Repair Fund. Donated instruments require an average of $180 in repairs before they can be awarded to a student.
2. Visit an Instrument Drive donation center near you on Saturday, October 5 with a donation from the list of needed instruments. Please check the hours for each site before leaving. An Instrument Drive staff member will assist you in completing your donation.
3. Feel great & celebrate! Because of your generosity, a young musician will now be one step closer to realizing their musical dreams.
Following the October 5 drive, donations will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis at the McIntosh|Goodrich mansion.
