WCM’s JAZZ LAB program engages students with ensemble performance, theory and improvisation, and music technology. JAZZ LAB students participate in a small group combo, exploring the diverse repertoire of Contemporary Jazz. Students will learn the foundations of music theory and how to apply them to improvisation. At the end of the spring term, students will learn basic studio techniques while recording an album documenting their year’s progress.
