Latin Jazz Ensemble

Rehearse and perform a repertoire of Latin Jazz classics from Cuban, Caribbean, and Brazilian artists. Musical selections from legendary figures such as Tito Puente, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Cal Tjader. Contemporary selections to include Chick Corea, Flora Purim, and Wayne Wallace. Fall semester focuses on Afro-Cuban Jazz, while spring semester turns to Afro-Brazilian music. Become well-versed in the language of clave, partido alto, montuno, bossa nova, salsa, and more!
