Background

Why did you choose to work at WCM?

One of my biggest goals in my career as an educator is to make music accessible for all students. I think the Conservatory does a good job at making that goal a reality with its Community Partnership program. I look forward to teaching classes every week, and I love finding new ways for my students to engage with music in the ways that really interest them.

Describe a musical experience or teacher that had a positive impact on you.

I actually took voice lessons at the Conservatory when I was younger, so I'd say that my time learning with Alisa Jordheim had a positive impact. She is a very versatile instructor who was able to both meet me at my level and also introduce me to the anatomy of voice. This helped me to become a stronger singer and further develop my interest to pursue music in the long run.
