Why did you choose to work at WCM?

I wanted to be part of a professional musicians who value community, and providing all students with accessible and exceptional music education.

Describe a musical experience or teacher that had a positive impact on you.

I have been involved with the Washington Island Music Festival my whole life—I went to music camp as a young child, sang in the Festival chorus as a young adult and helped lead rehearsals, and now I teach the same music camp I used to attend as a kid. It means a lot to teach the next generation of kids in my hometown, serve alongside the musicians who inspired me to pursue a career as a professional musician, and work on expanding musical opportunities for the Island community that means so much to me.
