A Heartfelt Thank You
Last October, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music held its biannual Instrument Drive and collected over 150 gently used instruments. WCM cleans, repairs, provides new cases, and gives these instruments to at-need students and schools throughout Southeast Wisconsin. One of these recipients is WCM percussion student Javon, and he wrote a special thank you note. Blind since birth, Javon used his braille typewriter to write:
“Dear: The Person who gave me the drum set,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for it. I love it!!! I want you to know that I am thrilled to receive it very much. I love it, love it so much. I will take great care of it even when it gets older! I hope you like this letter as much as I like the drum set!
From Javon and Family <3”
